Finally figured out my login!!!

I finally figured out my login and password....thanks for firefox that stores all my passwords in a secret folder deep in my lap top. So its been awhile, not much has happen....... Lets see today I got my flu shot at work for free and an giant acorn hit my head. Oh, and the back of my truck is filled with these damn acorns, so whenever I turn, they rattle and drive me nuts!!! Get it acorns = nuts......anyways!

I am excited about our trip to Tampa later this month, I get to see Pleva again! woohoo! Some of the things I want to do are hit the beach, maybe go to Disney, my favorite restaurant Cicco's, and just chill! I need to get out of crazy Atlanta. So we are staying with the Young's and Pleva asked us to bring costumes.....a few ideas we have:
Ying and Yang
Tooth and Fairy = Tooth Fairy
Cop and convict
Super Mario and Ludwig
Popeye and Bruno
ummmm maybe we need some cooler ideas.

It is time!

For several years now I been wanting a dog, just wasn't sure when and what breed I should get. When I lived with my roommate in FL, her parents bred Golden Retriever's, so I was thinking of getting that breed. After awhile of going back and forth with my roommate on getting a dog.....(she keep saying I couldn't have a dog in the condo, now she has two! :-P ) I gave up on the though if getting a dog. Once I moved to Atlanta, I wanted a dog so bad, but it wasn't fair to get a dog and stick him in a small apt. Everyone suggested for me to get a small dog, but c'mon on! A big guy like me wouldn't look right with a small yapper. Besides small dogs are not dogs they are rats. One dog I truly love, is my parents dog, they have a Samoyed, he is the most loyal dog they have ever had....although he has his days when he doesn't want to be bothered, and growls at my mom, I know she keeps nagging at him, I would too I know how my mom is.
So I decided! I want a Samoyed puppy, they are not large dogs or small. They are friendly, seem to always have a smile on....like me! I did months of research and Georgia does not have any breeders that are recognized by the AKC as the National parent club for the Samoyed breed. I called up a few adoption agencies and talked to a few pet stores about my search. Most of them said for a price they can get me a Samoyed puppy. Only problem that I found with that is, I wouldn't know the linage or family health history of dog, I don't want a "puppy mill" pup or "back yard breeder" pup. So I decided to spend the extra cash and get myself a pure breed AKC Samoyed. The closest breeder is in Brandon, FL, which is only 20 minutes away from Tampa, my old stomping grounds. I did research on the breeder and their dogs and they have two litters for this year, one ready for June and the other will be ready for November. I filled the application and waiting for a respond from the breed on my deposit.....so hopefully soon I will know if at last I will be getting my puppy!
The first picture is from the breeders website, these puppies are from the June litter. Different parents then the November litter, but they will look like these puppies at 2 months.
The puppy in snow is from the same breeder, he is a few months older but now lives in NC.
This is what their dad looks like, and he is also a show dog.

So what do you guys think?

A cooking segment with Chef Richy!

So the Cub comes home from work and demands food to fill his chubby cheeks. Who does he think I am? Househusband of Atlanta? ARRRRGH! Anyways, I ended up cooking dinner, cause he brought me a gift. I made my famous Strawberry, baby greens, feta salad with chicken. Man!!! did i salve over this one! I took pictures of my prep and meal, cause the next time I cook it will Thanksgiving.
Washed and picked out the Strawberries.

chopped them.
AAAAAh there is a rat in the kitchen! Who let her out of the cage?

Opening the feta cheese, this step was the hardest one. Took a lot of muscle and time to open this.

Cook the chicken in EVOO, with onions, mushrooms and Italian marinated stuff.

Mix  the strawberries, onions, feta cheese and almonds....DAMN IT! I forgot to buy the almonds!

And here is my meal! Jeesh this took me a long time to cook.  Add a little raspberry vinaigrette dressing and now you can stuff your face!

That's my babe getting ready to fill his chubby cheeks.

So....its been awhile!

Its been awhile, since I have posted something. Been crazy busy with work and life, and getting my thoughts in order for this post. Well, we have been great, Cub and I just celebrated our 4 year anniversary, crazy how time flies. I took him out to dinner, for Thia food, we ordered the same meals he had on our first official date. I been considering going back into architecture, looking for jobs and sending out resumes, its been two years since I been in the field. I need a refresher course on AutoCAD and any new programs firms are using now. Next, major thing happening is waiting for one of my best friends, I went to architecture school to come up and visit. I can't wait to see her, Jamie, and I can't wait for her to meet the cub! Well, that's it for now, I'll try to post more often, till then here is a treat.

I found this little treat online, Kelly Clarkson's new rumored single, "Let Me Down" off her upcoming 5th studio album. When American Idol first came out and Kelly hit the scene, I thought this is all crap. It wasn't till my roommate from Florida dragged me to a Kelly Clarkson concert and I realized that Kelly can sing and has a powerful voice. Although later I passed out drunk on the lawn section of venue, and I can only hear my roommates out of tone voice to "Since You Been Gone". Anyways, be sure to check out the song "Let Me Down" below,  ENJOY!

Repotting

All day today I been re-potting my seedlings into peat pots, so they can grow stronger and bigger. I also have my strawberry raised bed ready to go, all I need to do is nail down the weed net and buy the soil. Next week I am buying more wood to build the veggie raised bed. I am super excited about my plants and can't wait to taste my strawberries, tomatoes, banana peppers, cilantro, sweet mint, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, cayenne peppers, chives, basil, carrots, watermelon and pumpkins. By the way our peach trees in our front yard are heavy with little peaches, last time I tasted them, they were juicy and sweet, can't wait to try them again.

This up coming week is going to be action packed, I am excited to see Rio, the animated movie about the blue parrot, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part I, comes out on DVD, the Cub and I are going to the Dogwood Festival on Friday, its the Lesbots Bday, building my veggie bed, HBO's premier of Game of Thrones on Sunday and Lady Gaga's Concert on Monday Night.
Some of the plants I re-potted, these are only half of what we got, I still need to re-pot more. Also, pictured is the greenhouse with all the veggies that sprouted.

Strawberry raised bed, I built, still needs weed netting and soil. That's David the Gnome, with Loosey Goosey. She is a whore that's why she is on her knees praying.

Seedlings of veggies and some Perennial flowers.

My new pets!

OK, since the cub doesn't let me have a puppy, I found a new animal I actually enjoy......Betta Fish a.k.a. Siamese fighting fish.  So one night the cub and I decide to visit the lesbian at work, she manages a petco or petsmart.....or pet something, anyways I was looking around the aquariums and was mesmerized by a little blue fish with spikey fins. Turns out he is a crown tail betta fish, I immediately picked him up and felt bad that he was in such a small container, so I bought him. The cub, not to feel left out, also bought a red crown tail betta fish, we bought the tanks, food and conditionar, and off we headed home with our new pets.  He name his Phoenix, after Jean Grey from the X-Men, because of her red hair and her powers, the Phoenix force. (guess his fish is gay) I name my fish, Poseidon, greek god of the sea.

The next day we headed to Walmart, cause the cub is still on the hunt for his Marvel figures, by the way I hate Walmart. We happen to walk by the pet section of the store and they had betta fish! But they were in horrible condition, I felt really bad. The water was dirty, they were barely in an inch of water and who knows when was the last time they got feed. So we decided to save two, we looked for the ones we liked and not a heart beat away from death. We found two, the Cub name his Shanichi....I asked the Cub what is up with the ghetto name, he said it is not, its a vampire's name from a book he read. I still think its ghetto. I named my fish Chance, cause he has a chance to live away from Walmart-hell.

Shanichi

The following day I went a bit crazy, so we already have four fish in four different tanks. They have to live in separate tanks or they'll start fighting till one dies. I went over to Petsmart and they had their anniversary sale. I notice that their bettas were on sale so I bought another one. He is a beautiful blue betta fish, his name is Azul, which means blue in Spanish. Once I got home the Cub scolded me and told me no more betta fish unless its a female betta, for breeding. By the way the female betta fish are ugly, they look BLAH. So I agreed no more betta fish.  Later in the day, I felt bored so I headed to a local aquarium, they have exotic fish, but their betta fish sucked. So, I headed to the next aquarium store and there I bought an exotic looking female betta. (the Cub said no more betta fish unless its a female, right?) Then I saw that in some of the betta fish tanks, they had Mexican mini crawfish so I bought one of those too. The lady gave me 2 fresh water plants for free too! So I headed home with my new pets and the Cub just laughed at me and had nothing to say, except that I have to take care of the fish. So the female betta's name is Venus and the Mexican mini crawfish his name is Sebastian.

Starting my garden.

For the past two months, I've been working on a little guilty pleasure few people know. Ever since a kid in Jersey, I had a fascination with growing plants. I remember my dad build a fenced in area for my tomatoes, lettuce and bell peppers. I would spend hours thinking of my crops and if I would be able to sell them to my neighbors but the stupid crows and rabbits would eat my tomatoes and never had the chance to even taste them. Well, I got bitten by the bug again, and started preparing my garden. I have potted strawberries I grew last summer, I have a bunch of new strawberry plants this year and working on some strawberry seeds that should be germinating soon. I started my tomatoes, green peppers, cilantro, cayenne peppers, mini rose, a rose bush I started from bare root. I rescued a few plants from Christmas, a Christmas Cactus, a mini rose and a White Christmas Shooting Star Hydrangea. The White Christmas Shooting Star Hydrangea was given as a gift to the "lesbot" (the lesbian roomie) and she let it die.....well almost die, cause now its growing new foliage and I pruned all the dead leaves and branches. Same as the mini rose, it looked dead and ugly, and with my magic touch, it looks strong and has lots of new foliage. Next weekend I will be building a raised garden bed. I bought the wood at Home Depot, got it from the salvage pile weather proof 2x4's and a bunch of bolts, for less then $10 bucks.
Below are some process pictures of my seeds and my planting process.
Green house and dirt pellets - about $4.00 at Home depot.
Various packets of seeds.
Add 5-1/2 cups of warm water.
The dirt pellets absorb all the water.
Dig a small hole add seeds and cover.
Chose your seeds.
Label what you plant.
Cover and if you have plant light place them under it. Uncover a few times so the seedlings don't cook.
After a week, you'll see some growth. (Hollyhock seedlings)
Strawberry seedlings
Sweet Mint, had to transfer to a bigger pot. Love the smell of this plant.
Bunch of seedlings and starters.
Bottom row: 2 potted strawberries from last year and the saved Christmas cactus. Middle row: a bunch of strawberries I bought at the nursery, one potted Strawberry from last year, the saved White Christmas Shooting Star Hydrangea, and some plant from last year I grew and don't remember what it is. Top row: 3 potted strawberries from last year, 2 snap dragons and a bamboo I am trying to save....guess who it belongs to.....the "Lesbot"

Midnight Crusader.

Every week, I get a visitor by a handsome furry friend.....he's our neighbors pup that lives a few houses down from us. His name is Zorro and he seems to escape and wander around our cul-de-sac. He likes to come to our yard and run loops around Lola, the Cub's Rat-Terrier. The Cub doesn't let me have a puppy, this house is missing a real dog and Zorro fits the bill. The Cub tells me that we have too many dogs in this house, the Cub has Lola, who looks like a opossum and the Lesbian has a Weimaraner, that I call dinosaur, because she eats anything  left out and destroys everything. That stupid dog does more damage to things then we can buy and replace back. I wouldn't mind if she went missing one day.
I think that our neighbors neglect Lil' Zorro, or made I myself believe that, and I want him! Tonight while the Cub was walking his opossum, Lil Zorro came running to our house, we played with him and feed him. Poor Zorro, I wish I had him or a real dog that is cute and obedient. Below is a picture of Lil' Zorro the Serbian Husky and a picture of Lola the half Rat-Terrier half opossum, a picture of Roy, he lives with my parents and a picture of my ideal pup.

The Chubby Cheek Cub song!

So I always tease my cub, by singing to him. He has an app on his iPhone he downloaded for his use but it back fired on him. Cause I use it! and I sing to it and the Cat repeats everything I say in a high pitch voice. So here is my chart topping hit "Chubby Cheeks"!!!!
Oh I took a new picture of myself cause I got tired of my facebook picture. Yeah thats me trying to look like I have biceps.
Lyrics:
Mean Ole Chubby Cheeks
He has big Ole Chubby Cheeks
When he gets pissed
he moves his Chubby Cheeks
Mean Ole Chubby Cheeeeeeeeeeeeks!

Captian America!!!! The First Avenger!

Fan Made Poster

I am a huge comic book fan, I got into them about three years ago, cause of the CUB. When his first b-day, together, rolled around I had no idea what to get him. So I went to the local comic book shop and discover a awesome world of cool art and great super hero stories.  First I would only read books about the X-Men, favorite X-Men characters are Arch-Angel, Wolverine, X-23 and Rogue. Then I started getting into other books, like the Avengers, Young Avengers and Thunderbolts. So since I am a comic book fan, its a given that I am excited of the up coming comic movies coming out. Like The First Avenger: Captain America, Thor, and the Avengers...and the reboot of the X-Men series. Recently I found a fan man poster for the Captain America movie, I really like!!! The art is awesome and he did a great job photoshopping Chris Evans face into the Caps mask. Check out the art and I also posted a trailer to the Thor Movie.
